3. The free resume scan runs in your browser

Our free instant resume score is calculated locally in your browser. The resume text you paste for the free scan is not sent to our servers or to any AI provider — it stays on your device.

4. Paid submissions and AI tools

When you purchase a paid review, or use our AI-assisted tools (such as rewrite, cover letter, or job-fit tools), the resume text and other content you submit is sent to our servers and to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate your results.

That content is stored securely and used only to deliver and support your request. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers (such as hosting, payments, and AI processing) needed to run ForgedStep, and where required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and results for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated content.

7. Your choices

You can access, update, or request deletion of your information by contacting us. You may also stop submitting content at any time.
